The glenmorangie "Nectar d'Or" is transferred from its original bourbon cask to be extra matured or "finished" in exquisite Sauternes wine barriques from some of the most respected vineyards of France. Or means gold in both Gaelic and French, while of course Nectar is the drink of the Gods! In this Nectar toasted oak and vanilla are intricately woven with honey, lemon and spices to create a mix of sumptuous flavours, a silky texture and a long lingering finish. Importantly, The Nectar d'Or is non chill-filtered and bottled at a strength of 46%. This imparts added body, taste and texture to the spirit.
