This is the real thing.  A original Raj child's pith helmet that we found in Burma.  Covered in brown leather and trimed in faded green cotton under the brim, with a leather sweat band and yellow checked cotton lining.  Under this are scraps of newspaper written in Chinese script.  Possibly a school hat?  No name or identifying markings.  A one-off find and a must for collectors of unusual hats.
